When you take a flower in your hand…
I love this quote by my favorite artist. I often sighted her in my graduate work and named her as one of my main influences. If you are familiar with her work, she would focus on one tiny aspect of a flower and blow it up large so that you were forced as the viewer to see detail that otherwise would have been missed. This week after a hard rain, I walked past some roses and the water droplets were so pronounced because they had just fallen. Something about them was so beautiful that I wanted to capture them. It’s a tiny moment easily missed, much like O’Keefe is talking about. I hope you can enjoy, with me, this little hidden masterpiece found in my yard today.
Don’t forget to see all the colors! They are everywhere!
